Hosting situations needed for Moroccan Fulbright Teachers

There are a few opportunities still available to host a Moroccan Teacher in
your school/district for the period April 9- May 24.

The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program, U.S. Department of State, is
looking for schools with excellent ESL programs to host Moroccan teachers for an upcoming special program initiative with Morocco. The Moroccan visitors, fluent in English, are interested in working with students to teach them about life and education in a French/Arabic-speaking country and with U.S. teachers on other creative projects. Schools should assign their Moroccan guest to a host ESL teacher and allow the visitor to both work-shadow and team-teach. Host families will receive a hosting stipend of $500 for the purpose of housing the guest and introducing him/her to life and culture in the United States.

If you are interested in this program, please check our web-site
www.fulbrightexchanges.org under OTHER OPPORTUNITIES and complete the
downloadable host form linked there (Please do not use the on-line
application on the site for this special program.). Completed applications
should be faxed to our attention at (202) 479-6806 by 9 am Eastern Standard
Time on Monday, March 29. For questions about this program or a hosting form, please e-mail Christa_George@grad.usda.gov or call 202-314-3520.
