World Language Sessions at KTLC 2005

KTLClogo2005-3.gifThe Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC), the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, will provide the setting for the 2005 Kentucky Teaching and Learning Conference, March 3-5. Pre-registration ends on February 14 and information along with other conference information can be found at www.kentuckytlc.org.

There are several sessions on World Language and International Education scheduled.

Two for One: Awarding 2 Credits for a Double Dip of Spanish in a Single Standards-Based Course

In this session, course designers and current students will present the Spanish I/II course offered by the Kentucky Virtual High School. KVHS is piloting a standards-based Spanish I and II combined course that will provide 2 credits to the student upon successfully meeting standards for the
course. The standards come directly from the Kentucky World Language Framework.
