March 27, 2006
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Kentucky announces a 16-month program for P-12 World Languages teachers (March 2006-June 2007). The program will provide participating teachers with stipends and will cover related costs. In addition, teachers will receive support for student participation in KWLA World Language Festivals (2006 & 2007) and for use of STAMP and LinguaFolio assessment tools. This program is funded by an Improving Educator Quality grant through the Kentucky Council on Post-Secondary Education.
The program is open to all Kentucky P-12 World Language teachers. Preference will be given to teachers in high-needs districts, Title-I schools, and teachers with emergency, alternate, or recent certification.
