This one-day conference co-sponsored by the Kentucky World Language Association and the Improving Educator Quality Program at Western Kentucky University will be of interest to World Languages Teachers and to University Faculty in World Languages and Teacher Education.

Units of Study:
Learn about backwards planning as an effective guide for making sure
classroom activities are linked to concrete, assessable goals.
Linguafolio:
See models for guiding students towards self-assessment of their
learning through "I can ..." statements contained in the Linguafolio!
materials now being piloted in the state of Kentucky.
STAMP:
Learn how the STAMP test can offer an objective, proficiency-based
assessment of student skills that can both: (1) facilitate proper
placement as students move from middle to high school or high school to college, but also (2) provide teachers with valuable information about what their students are really learning in class.
Learning Communities:
Find out how joining a learning community for Spanish teachers can
improve both classroom learning and curricular programming.
