Teachers interested in Arabic culture & language

Responding to the national call for the study of strategically important languages and culture, Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is partnering with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and teachers from across the Commonwealth to build capacity for Arabic language and culture programs. A grant has been submitted to the Fulbright Commission to take a group of 9 secondary teachers of any discipline, 2 administrators, an Arabic language professor and a state department of education consultant to the United Arab Emirates and Oman for four weeks to broaden their knowledge of Arabic culture and language in order to build new programs and provide instructional resources to sustain them.
