lza.jpgHighlands High School German teacher Linda Zins-Adams and 2008 KWLA Outstanding Teacher of the Year has been named the 2009 Teacher of the Year by the Southern Conference on Language Teaching.

Linda represented the state of Kentucky and beat out nine other state teachers of the year, who were selected on the basis of their teaching portfolio, letters of recommendation and an interview. She now advances to the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) convention in San Diego in November 2009, where she and four other regional teachers will vie for ACTFL National Language Teacher of the Year.

Congratulations Linda! Your KWLA family is very proud of you and will support you at ACTFL!
