Call to the Post:Get Ready!

In anticipation of the 2010 FEI Alltech World Equestrian Games the Kentucky World Language Association is kicking off its 2009 Fall Conference at the Lexington Downtown Hotel on Thursday, September 17. The 2009 KWLA fall Conference, which will be held through Saturday, Sept. 19, will feature hands-on workshops, energizing speakers, foreign-language immersion dinners, and teaching material exhibits by producers and promoters. Award Nominations

The 2009 KWLA Outstanding Teacher of the Year, who has also been named th SCOLT Teacher of the Year, will be heading to San Diego in November to participate in interviews for the ACTFL Teacher of they year. Let's make headlines by sending a KWLA member two years in a row! Now is the time to nominate your colleagues! Are you looking for a way to bring recognition to your program and your school? Do you have a colleague, administrator or advocate that you would like to thank for their commitment to world languages? One of the benefits of membership to KWLA is that you are eligible to nominate deserving professionals for our annual awards. Please consider doing so. Award nominations will be accepted electronically until Wednesday, August 26, 2009.
