Bill VanPatten (Keynote Speaker)

Bill van Patton Bill VanPatten is Professor of Spanish and Second Language Studies at Michigan State University where he also directs the Romance language programs. Prof. VanPatten is an award winning teacher-scholar, whose work on both input processing and processing instruction have received attention around the world. He is the author of six books, seven edited volumes and close to 100 book chapters and journal articles. Prof. VanPatten is perhaps best known among language teachers for Making Communicative Language Teaching Happen (co-authored with James F. Lee) and for From Input to Output: A Teacher's Guide to Second Language Acquisition, as well as for his top-selling college-level textbooks (¿Sabías que...?, Destinos, Sol y viento, Así lo veo). He currently has a major French textbook and film series in production with Wynne Wong. Read a description of Bill's workshop.

Noah Geisel (Featured Presenter)

Noah GeiselNoah Geisel has been teaching high school English, Spanish and Technology for 10 years. An addict of sharing and collaborating with other teachers, he is a constant on Twitter and a contributing writer to the education blog TeachPaperless.com. His presentations have been selected Best of Colorado, Best of SWCOLT and Best of CSC. Noah is currently representing Colorado as the Foreign Language Teacher of the Year. Greg Duncan (Featured Presenter)

Greg Duncan For over 30 years, Greg Duncan has been a foreign language educator. Serving first as a high school teacher of Spanish for 12 years and then as a high school administrator for two years, he assumed the position of Coordinator for Foreign Languages and International Education in the Georgia Department of Education for nine years. Among his accomplishments during his tenure of service at the state level was the creation of the Elementary School Foreign Languages Model Program, which has been cited by the Washington-based Center for Applied Linguistics as a national model. Currently, Greg is owner and President of InterPrep, Inc., a company that provides assistance to schools, school systems and other educational entities in matters related to foreign languages and international education.
