State Festival Registration

Teachers who will be sending students to compete at the 2007 State Festival must register online. All entries must be received by the Festival Registration Deadline: Monday, May 7th to allow for evaluation sheets to be printed. There is no need for you to mail any registration forms. Simply register online and submit payment via credit card or check.

Registration Instructions:

The online registration form for 2007 has changed. Be sure to carefully read through ALL of the instruction before proceeding. It is strongly suggested you print this page as a reference before attempting to register your students!

STEP 1:
Choose the registration link that applies to you from the list below.

STEP 2:
Enter your e-mail address to verify your membership status. NOTE: Only current KWLA members will be allowed to register their students for the 2007 State Festival. (If your e-mail address has changed and you haven't updated your KWLA membership entry, the system will not allow you to register. Please contact KWLA via e-mail.)

STEP 3:
If you are registering a group entry choose the correct event: Chorus, Drama, Folk Dancing, Construction Model, Game, Realia, Video. (NOTE: These entries will be made under YOUR name and not the students name.)

STEP 4:
To register a student for an individual competition, click on "Click to add guest". Then click on "Click to enter guest name". Enter the student's First and Last Name. NEW FOR 2007: For academic competitions, you must enter the level of the competition (1,2,3,4,5, or Native) in the "Position" field. If you fail to enter the level, your student will not be accurately registered and may not be able to participate in the festival. Enter your school name in the "Company" field, so that your student will be associated with your registration. Click on "Save" to register your student.

STEP 5:
Choose the events your student will be competing in at the State Festival.

STEP 6:
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each student that you will be sending to the State Festival.

STEP 7:
Read through the Registration Summary. Make sure that each student's name is spelled correctly and that you have added all of the events for each student. This is the time to go back and make any necessary corrections or add any students you may have forgotten.

STEP 8:
Pay for your registrations. You can pay by credit card (VISA/Mastercard) or by check.

STEP 9:
After you submit your registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your registration summary as well as your payment summary. Please print this e-mail for your records! If you are paying by check, send your check along with a copy of the confirmation e-mail to the State Festival office at UK.

Registration Fees:

State festival:
$ 5.00 per individual entry
$10.00 ($5.00 per student) per group of 2
$15.00 for groups of 3 or more, drama and chorus

No checks should be made out to the University of Kentucky. All checks for the state festival should be made out directly to KWLA, but sent to the State Festival office at UK.
