Wow - I feel good!
For the strangest most unknown reason - I have a new passion for teaching. The long holiday break - plus me catching a horrible illness (out for one day) - has made me excited!
For the strangest most unknown reason - I have a new passion for teaching. The long holiday break - plus me catching a horrible illness (out for one day) - has made me excited!
Here I am - sitting in the library of my school - I get kicked out of my room during plan (I like to think of it as forced reflective moments) - and it hits me! I was meant to be a teacher. With my rather oversized planning book in hand, I am getting excited. Everything seems to be falling into place. The Arts & Humanities classes are almost taking care of themselves (one class on a nine week cycle is nearing the end of unit two while the eighteen week cycle is coming to the end of unit one) - and my German classes - well...I get to speak German! I think it is much easier to plan a four day week than a five day week, which might be why I'm rather giddy (or it could be the coffee talking).
That's really all I wanted to say - for all you new teachers out there - Keep it up! Anytime you are feeling down - thinking why did I ever commit to this - remember - you are lucky as heck to have a job!
